Hanna is the West Campus Director here at New Anthem Church. She has a passion for building relationships and helping people get connected within the local church. She believes there is nothing more important than to love Jesus and to love people. You can count on her to bring the fun wherever she goes and get people excited about being in community with other believers.
Alyssa is the administrative director for New Anthem Church. She has a passion for people and their stories and is pursuing a degree in biblical counseling. She loves being around others and managing details. She also has a very apparent and unusual obsession with dogs and coffee!
Jed is the Assistant Creative Director for New Anthem Church. He loves building relationships within the community and will do anything for the sake of a good story. He definitely drinks way too much coffee, but he doesn’t think so. He is pursuing a theology degree online and enjoys photography and videography, as well as audio and lighting production.
David is the Director of Operations at New Anthem. His goal is to use his management experience to help keep everything at New Anthem running smoothly. David is married to Christine, is the father of Cecilia, Katherine, and Evelyn, is the father-in-law of John and Daniel, and is the grandfather of Ilana. David is a huge film buff, loves to watch soccer and college football, and has been accused by his family of occasionally speaking to them exclusively in film quotes.
Christine is the Family Ministries Director at New Anthem. She became a committed follower of Jesus Christ at the age of 30 so she has a personal understanding of people who are guarded and skeptical. Christine is wife to David, mom to Ceci, Katherine and Evelyn, mother-in-law to Pastor John and Pastor Daniel and “Mimi” to granddaughter, Ilana *so far. Christine likes: listening to podcasts on theology, creating artwork, cooking healthy, and walking. Christine doesn’t like: doing dishes, washing floors, cleaning bathrooms, or writing biographies in the third person. Come find her in the Anthem Kids hallway. She’s a people person and wants to meet you!
Ceci is the Creative Director at New Anthem. She’s passionate about glorifying God through creativity, helping people find their gifts and get plugged in to serve, and seeing people learn to love God with their minds. She loves her husband John, her dog Vera, baking elaborate desserts, theology podcasts, and Hot Cinnamon Spice lattes.
Pastor John absolutely loves his wife and the local church. After over 13 years of following a passion to reach people for Jesus, God led John and his wife Ceci back to Metro Detroit with the vision to start New Anthem Church. He loves God and loves people deeply, with a passion to see the lost meet Jesus. John also loves concerts, golf, and late night worship sessions.
COVID-19 UPDATES
Extra Steps for a Safer Church Experience as We Return to In-Person Services June 28
As we return to in-person services on Sunday, June 28, we wanted to share some of the steps we will be taking to promote a safer and healthier environment:
Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces before each service
Physical distancing inside the auditorium
Masks are required as you walk into the building; you may remove them once you get to your seat if you wish
Hand sanitizer stations throughout the lobby area
No more self-service coffee, but coffee will be available and dispensed by volunteers wearing gloves and masks
Anthem Kids has returned in-person during the 11am service, and we will continue to upload the kids’ message to our website every week
We ask that if you are not feeling well to please stay home in order to help keep everyone safe
We will continue to livestream our entire worship service on Facebook and YouTube so that if you are not feeling well or would just feel more comfortable at home for now you can continue to worship with New Anthem and hear the Word.
June 13
We are so excited to be gearing up to meet again for in-person services, beginning June 28. We will have services at 9&11am at Mount Clemens High School once again. We are making some changes to help promote a more safe and healthy experience, including cleaning between services, physical distancing in the auditorium, and hand sanitizing stations. Anthem Kids will continue to meet online for the time being, but kids can be in service with their family or we will have a family room provided that will also have the service streamed to it. If you aren’t feeling well, please stay home, and for anyone who isn’t able to or doesn’t feel comfortable to attend in person yet, that’s okay! We will continue livestreaming every Sunday on both Facebook and YouTube.
We are so glad we have the opportunity to see each other in person and, for those who feel comfortable returning, we can’t wait to see you!
